Dec 13, AM. Tom: I was unable to get the Playback Component to install after installing I do have it on I upgraded from the app store. I found a free dvd ripper in the app store. I hardly ever rip dvds anymore but just in case it’s good to have.
You install the component in the OS. You open the installer bundle then run Streamclip and point it to the component in the installer. That’s all Streamclip needs. It does the rest.
But you have to have the installer, which is no longer available from Apple. Feb 22, PM. It depends on what you want Streamclip to accomplish. There’s a lengthy discussion about this on fop. This product no longer works on our Sierra systems and we’ve tried what we think is every work around. Note that the last time Squared5 touched this product was 2 to 4 years ago.
